Announcement

Welcome weary web-traveler to the farthest reaches of the internet. You have stumbled upon the Harvest Moon Eternity Forums, a once lively place of discussion amongst friends, now long since shut down. I invite you to linger here a while, and enjoy the happy memories shared by the members of our small community. I warn you though, if you linger here, at the edge of infinity, too long, time itself may begin to bend backwards, and you may start to see new post markers on topics that should have long since faded. The memories are here and alive. Savor them, sweet traveller.

Re: The Lounge

I'm still keeping an eye on things... and I posted my webcomicsite. Not much action going on here, though.

Understatement of the century...

Tailed and I have oddly stopped making contact. He wants to know what time to drop by, but...yeah....

The End.

Thanks for everything... I can't name everyone, but pretty much on this forum should expect a large sum of money in the mail addressed by myself. It has been a blast.

Re: The Lounge

*sigh*  The end?  I always hated the end.  In books, it left you with many questions answered, and just as many remaining for the reader to make his or own conclusions.  This end has left me with more than it's fair share.  But all good things must come to an end...they always just seem to come to soon.  I have never liked good-byes.  I will always leave it as "See ya later, Harvest Moon"

Re: The Lounge

My journey here was an odd one.  I've never owned a Harvest Moon game, and have all but ceased playing video games in general, so posting on a Harvest Moon board was a strange move for me.  And while I joined in the twilight of these boards, the community still impressed me, and did sadden me a bit when the chatter began to cease.  The posters here have been very kind, for the most part, and it's always sad to see a website (especially one people cared about) go.

I won't pretend to have been part of that community (after all, these boards gave me my first ever forum ban), but it was interesting to be an observer.

I think one of my favorite quotes applies here:

"Nothing is static. Everything is evolving. Everything is falling apart."
-Tyler Durden

So while it may be disheartening to watch the site die, this is just a website after all.  True bonds shall remain, and the experiences here are integrated into us, regardless of the current state of the site.

Been a strange ride.  See y'all, I s'pose.

Re: The Lounge

Honestly, you it has been an amazing experience for me. But in truth, I no longer love to work on Harvest Moon Eternity like I used to. Once I opened the RPG and Forums I had done myself in by two ways: 1. All of the low hanging fruit had been picked as pertaining to creating interaction and 2. I soon liked talking with the people who made up Harvest Moon Eternity than I enjoyed talking about Harvest Moon. It scares me that this community will now quickly die, and almost for sure... But, in the end, I wasn't living up to my duties as a webmaster. The site slowly stopped being a Harvest Moon site, and more of a community site. That's good and bad,  the good is all of the new friends, yes, in my opinion friends, I've made, but we lost our objective.

The messages in this forum will not go, they're text and will remain here forever. (Yeah, yeah... You say that HME, but look at the website, you twit. You said that about it, too!) I suppose I mean as long as I can afford my hosting bills, which really were not that bad. Plus, I do use this server space for my own personal projects... So, well be here a while. I know that I'll be reading the text and remembering the good we had here. (I invite you to read the random quote generator in the Extra section, we've got some pretty nice highlights there.)

Gandhi, you say this was just a website, but for the last two years, it has been more than that. I am, admittedly, a sentimentalist, and do get a bit dramatic when it comes to things like these, but I hope people won't forget Harvest Moon Eternity soon. I won't.

Ha, well, Harvest Moon Eternity has changed me, I'm not as paranoid about privacy as I used to be. I don't live in Maine, by the by, just a vacation. (Rather nice, 78 degrees in June, wow!)

It's always bittersweet in the end.

Re: The Lounge

Um, wow. I....dunno what to say. It's been a blast, though. I will especially miss everyone here, and the good times on the Forums and the RPG. Even through the slow times, this was a good place. Thank you, HME and everyone else.

(Shameless plug ahead!!! big_smile ) If anyone feels like it, feel free to drop by http://MeetBenny.bravehost.com and give me a visit... My site is small, but that's OK. (Sounds familiar, eh?) Anyway, my email can be found there.

This is Harvest Moon Eternity, right? So it's here forever even if the site isn't. Good luck to everyone, and remember to have fun along the way!

Re: The Lounge

I came to this place looking for a small RPG. I came across HME RPG one year and some months ago, and it's become an internet home to me before just recently. I was amazed at how friendly everyone was, and how much you all welcomed me into your group. For that I'll never forget this experience. I've learned the secrets and I know the truth about how some of you feel about me, and that's OK. I really don't mind, because you've still treated me with respect regardless.

Some say I rescued the RPG from extinction, but I can't see that. It's always here and it was never really dead, because "Harvest Moon is Forever". Thank you HME.

Love ya,
      Danielle

(P.S. If anyone still wants to talk and whatnot, my e-mail is in my profile. If you like Fire Emblem I've got a site you can join and we can still be "forum buddies" wink )
